Showing is one of the greatest experiences that I have ever had in my life. I have had more highs in my life around a show ring with cattle than any other place in my life, some lows also came with that. I have been blessed for many years now to work with some of the greatest kids and families alike that I am really humbled by the opportunities that have been put in my path of life. One of the greatest experiences I have had in a long time was getting to watch Kody show his steer, "Goldie" as you might imagine become more than just his steer but also the Grand Champion steer at the 2007 Dixie National. This steer was unique in the fact that he won their state fair in October, which would compare with most states expo shows and then went on to be Grand Champion at the Dixie National. This steer was a project and was good from start to finish, but that does not mean that he did not have good and not so good days in between. Faith in what you have paid off in this case and not giving up on the bad days helped to turn this steer into one of the most impressive individuals in the end that I have ever sold. With help from family, Kim his mother and Kash his brother, when he was not working with his pigs, Kody was fortunate enough to achieve all of the goals he had for his steer project this year. Showing is not just all about winning, but I don't think any of use will say it is not better than getting beat. My congratulations to Kody and his family on their success this past year and in the future.
